“Rest in God alone, my soul, for my hope comes from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I will not be shaken. My salvation and glory depend on God, my strong rock. My refuge is in God.”
Psalms 62:5–7, CSB
About
Solid Rock Electric, LLC got its start in 2015, founded right here in Middle Tennessee and the surrounding areas by Cyrena and Rocky Bryant — and from the beginning, it's been a Christ-centered business first, not just an electrical one. Luke Connor took over running the business and is proud to keep it going the same way they built it: same name, same standard of work, same reason behind it. Whether it's a light that's been flickering for months, an outlet that just stopped working, or a full panel upgrade on a house that hasn't been touched since the '80s, the approach is the same every time — show up, figure out what's actually going on, and fix it right, because the work itself is part of how faith gets lived out around here, not just how the bills get paid.
The name isn't just a name — it's where the work starts. Electrical work isn't something to rush. A shortcut you can't see behind the wall today can turn into a real problem, or a real danger, down the road. So every job gets the time it actually needs: the problem gets diagnosed instead of guessed at, the wiring doesn't just meet code — we build it beyond code where it matters, not just to the minimum that passes inspection — and the site gets left clean when it's done, not just technically finished.
Being Christ-centered shapes how the work actually gets done day to day, not just what gets said about it. It starts with being truthful with you — if something needs fixing, we'll say so, and if it doesn't, we'll say that too, along with any suggestions that might help you down the road. No upselling, no scare tactics, no surprise line items. We try to treat every home the way we'd want it treated if it were the Lord's own house we were wiring, not just another job on the schedule.
That's also why we try not to just show up, find the problem, and leave. We want to actually get to know the people we're working for and be someone you can call with a question, on the job or off it. Staying a smaller business is part of what makes that possible — we can take the time to really understand what's going on instead of rushing to the next job, and we'd genuinely rather fellowship with our customers and build a real relationship than just come and go.
